The Way  I Am

Many people have had a hard time
liking me down through these years
because I've always been so dam good
at whatever I decided to do I suppose
I can't understand it all myself why most things
I put my mind on doing came so easy for me
oh I am used to all that by now
I have been dealing with it for many years
I learned how to whip up some charm
now and then when such action was called for
however I don't use my charm very much anymore
I simply let the record speak for itself
those who know me well have gotten used to
the way I am and can be
of course I have lost a little of my magic
maybe more than I realize still yet
I can't help from feeling like I have
a few surprises left in me maybe several more
for my dear friends and the world also
in fact I am almost sure of that
yeah my higher consciousness keeps telling me
don't let yourself get rusty
the most fun of all may be yet to come
