My Good Old Dog

This poem is about a good old dog
who was once my grandest companion
I do not wish to offend any women
down through my life's journey
I have lost two or three dogs
and I have lost two or three women
at one time or another
I found for me it was always hardest
for me to lose the dogs than it was
for me to lose the women
for it seems you can always find you
another woman but you
can never replace your good old dog
