"Now, arise, black god
Chernobog, arise!
Plague bearer, awake
This world, I forsake
Chernobog
Arise!"
Here in the darkness where shadows caress
Nightmares stir in fires and desire
Demonic details succumbing to Hell
When those of godhood clarify falsehoods
Harrow the gallows
Desecrate the hallows
Betwixt the show
Better the devil you know
Why is it tragic when the black magic
Glistens the altar of death robed fathers
Position casters' sorcery faster
When hearts of demons pulse with the venom
Desecrate the hallows
And harrow the shadows
Betwixt the tombs
When bursting from virgin wombs
I curse your god, a god of lies
Upon the steps where angels cry
Loyalty and obedience
Tested beneath an iron fist
I walk outside of His grace
To deny, to resist
"Now, arise, black god
Chernobog, arise!

Shatter the tether here now together
The faithless shackles of faceless jackals
Gnawing at the hide of the damned divine
Driven to the grave of war and famine
Harrow the gallows
Desecrate the hallows
Betwixt the show
Better the devil you know
I curse your god, a god of lies
Upon the steps where angels cry
Loyalty and obedience
Tested beneath an iron fist
I walk outside of His grace
To deny, to resist

Of godless snow
The winter
Of below
Will splinter
The minds of man

Oh, I love this one Hades! You’ve penned this so deliciously wickedly that I could not help but adore it. Awesome choice of picture too, my friend… that is the most iconic depiction of this ancient dark god that there pretty much is. I loved Disney’s Fantasia, and that segment was easily one of my favorite parts when I was little. Methinks I always had a liking for things on the darker side, just a bit! *Wink* Your poem is brilliant though… it reads very much like a summoning chant in places, and I liked that about it quite a bit since it carried a certain flow to it that really brought this poem to life in incredible ways. Not too many poems and stories out there about Chernobog, so this is very original, unique, and epic! I loved it lots and lots. :D
