Mascarpone Memories

Suddenly thinking of her
And her exotic style
Contemplating how I misunderstood her.

I know her better now
Without seeing her anymore
It became clear years later.

Her sex was electric
Her mind controlled
Her actions unpredictable.

I was jealous of her ways
She feared telling me the truth
We wanted to care for each other, but didn't know how

When she came to see me, I had prepared for her
A simple delicacy
Of strawberries and mascarpone

The short while I spent with her
That morning
After feeling her silken smile

She left before anything was said
In a hurry I could not explain
And breakfast went uneaten.
