From Normal to Abnormal

She was an abnormal girl. For she cannot take anybody’s shit. She reverts back. Anger is what makes her do that. You see for a girl to abuse or to scream or to logically reason things out isn’t normal. It is either the domain of men or that of those old-retard aunties.

These aunties, mind you, are normal because they can scream, scold, taunt a young girl they bring to their home for their sons. However, they will also become abnormal if they do the same to their husbands. This makes one particular aunty sad and therefore she hurls more anger on the little girls thinking that she can rule them.

Now, there were two of these little girls in her house. Both of them dissatisfied with the behavior they met. But, the aunty knew one from the other. On the surface they were very different. They were made of different materials. One was made of normal ingredients but the tragedy of the other lied in her making.

I will first describe the abnormal girl. When she was born, she was just like any other girl. She would see things that would shock her but would be scared and wouldn’t know what to do. She was anxious day and night. Because of her timidity (which is a characteristic of a clinically normal girl), she was never able to even logically reason things out. This built up for twenty five years when she became abnormal.

Something happened which changed her drastically when she was twenty one. Something was added to her composition which was the reason of her abnormality years later. She met abnormal women outside when she joined college. They taught her things she shouldn’t have learnt. These lessons were those new ingredients in her make-up.

She became still more anxious when she saw things that disturbed her. Earlier she had no vocabulary to discuss it even with herself. Now, she was in a constant conversation with her other self. She could not sleep for nights because of this new seed. It brought her repressed anger and pain out in volcanic eruptions. This was the climactic moment when she was labeled abnormal.

Now about the other little girl, no such change happened. But the underlined personalities were same. She was pained by unjustified actions and behaviors as much as the abnormal girl. My question to the readers is, “Who is better off? The one who bore the pain deep inside and never set it out; but for the same reason became the apple of everyone’s eye; became the perfect woman who achieves her goals peacefully (even if those goals are set by others)? Or the one everyone started hating for she fought back, screamed, abused and was labeled the tarnished stone?”
