Three-Point Perspective

There...no longer in shadows
Between the long roots of the big oak
And the low fingers of the branches
He swirls with the winds
Feeling the song of the earth in his heart
From head to toe
Lying...in the distance
She receives his vibrant
And valiant resonance
That seemed stars apart
Until the natural inclination of magnetization took force
Of their hands to connect
Fingerprint by fingerprint
Where nothing separated them with the exception of the slight air that flowed between.
They kissed. They shared. They moved in unison.
In between and around the big oak.

It was a simple life they shared.
They knew their intimate details
Their loves and losses
Their pressure points and indiosynchracies.
How she knows when to give space to make him want her more
How he reminds of her beauty symbolized by flirting with her in public.
The time it began to the time now dawns new appreciation for their lives
For the time they have spent together
Between the two and how they grew to understand love
And it's evolving capacity to endure and withstand so much.
And the day came when the love between them would seem take its course
As the day when the wind was soft and the sun was high
He lays on her lap gazing at the long fingers of the big oak
No longer able to discern himself from that soft wind.
Taking his last breaths, she feels the weight fully of his resting head.
It was quick. The time together condensed in moment the breadth of a hair.
Alone in her memories standing between the long roots. A small carnation in its infancy comes through the green grass.
And her dance became new again.
