It was about 7:30 by then,
can you imagine the scene
as I walked in the kitchen;
what happened here?
and there for a while was silence,
anyway,
I made some coffee and had a cup,
I emptied the dishes out of the dishwasher,
cleaned a few counters off
and loaded the dishwasher again,
and then I left…

Ode to Teenagers? It's the paying attention to the seemingly insignificant moments which open us up to the significant ones that we'd otherwise miss. All bits and pieces add up to this.

So what did happen in the kitchen? I feel like I just watched a scene in a David Lynch film.
I couldn't truly say. I went to bed shortly after midnight while everything still seemed in order. It was New Year's Day, 2014. This poetic nuance is part of a FB message to my son. :)
