If I happen to write a poem
that fails to amuse you
or disagrees with you
or fucks you up a little or a lot
or even blows your mind
don't worry about it
you will get over it
people always do and if you
don't like it I could care less
I wasn't trying to satisfy you
when I wrote it or anyone else
most likely but I touched you
didn't I and that's all that counts
in the end and in the beginning
