Just If
If I see my reflection
in your eyes
I will know
the warmth of your arms
If I hear my name
tasted on your lips
I will understand
the depth of your love
If I feel your arms
around me at night
I will hold on
and bask in your wants
If. just If.
in your eyes
I will know
the warmth of your arms
If I hear my name
tasted on your lips
I will understand
the depth of your love
If I feel your arms
around me at night
I will hold on
and bask in your wants
If. just If.

those two simple words, which make a great title by the way I think, because they are so universal, could describe countless situations in our lives..at least I know for certain in my case they could..nice write

Beautifully expressed! Such sweet desires should win whatever competition they are entered in just as they should win any heart they have entered in... jj

Not all hearts, Poetryman. Most would think that incredibly soppy and lame.:) what can I say. I am a hopeless romantic.

Do not be afaid of that which some may call sentimental. Sentimentality is a mature emotion an honourable companion to romance.Lovely poem Idryad
