I Beg To Differ

Yeah, I get this
got the grace of guitar
the beating of the bass
striking a cord
maybe a few

Oh my
strumming goes my heart
again
...drumming
thumping on my emotions
as he said he didn't care for it

I beg to differ
this forgiver
again forgiven
always the unspoken
in silent word
buried deep
uprising
wishful adventures
inside my books
carrying my baggage
this fearful dread
like I began my first breath
these fault lines
etched on my face
across forehead

I beg to differ
born of beautiful wings I was
you'll see
along with your sullied plea
and soo wrong you'll be
carry on outspoken
and you'll see me
In the arms of another
becoming fixed
till unbroken be my heart
as I fly to new frontiers
and fresh starts.
