That Kiss

Take my hand and hide with me
in the wet-stains after dark.
Rain will wrap us safe and long
to chase lightning bugs, a'spark.

Shadows drip need-rainbow heat,
Infusing shades of brown on green
and crushing velvet-red of heart.

We are target to that cusp of flame,
fall weak in tongues of sweetest press
and hands in hair, hot body mesh.

I want to need, so close to pain.
Our teardrops kiss 'neath spatter-rain.
Licking quick those mixed in wane,
heartbeats strong, pulse vein on vein.

Eyes locked now, you feel my shift,
I see that you *just know*...
Your palms on hip-tilt forward,
Our lips...they never ever slow.
