Haunted Soul Within Me

I can feel sadness within your spirit
see a fake smile painted on sweet lips
while your haunted soul tries to compose
past won't let you forget many yesterday's
keep trying to be positive letting negative go
so many people around you hurting
seek to help all those around you
you feel each tear as if your own
while forgetting that you need luv as well
bury all your feelings laced with pain
loneliness not even you can explain
plundered down many trails in life
crossed paths with many beautiful souls
some of whom now ignore your friendship
have walked away with no thought
your existence has become invisible
yet you're still sending luv
not understanding any reason to be done
each smile hides a dying soul within
it's time to look after yourself
let go of the cruel past and be happy
leave it where it belongs....GONE
those who luv you are in your heart
don't miss feeling their kisses and hugs
be true to who you are
you can't control another's heart
treat others how you know it should be
how they give back to you
is on their own conscience
