I want to find myself
Lost in your heart
Discovering paths that
Lead to unreserved places
Touching the deep dark parts of you
That no one else would venture to
And give your soul the nourishment
That you've spent so long craving
I want to make moments
And turn them into memories
Engraved upon your heart
To withstand the test of time
Being mostly what you think
As well as what you know
Giving you reasons to hold on
And not to let go
But how do I show
When I am just a woman
In this cold lonely world
With not that much to give
Too used to people taking
Never reciprocating or appreciating
Sometimes I get worn down and cry
Yet all I want to do is try
I've got an abundance of passion
Plus a healthy dose of affection
And I can only hope nutrients you require
Lie somewhere within the depths of me
Because I'm spilling all this emotion
When I overflow it just pours
And I let it stain these pages
Wishing I could colour your soul instead
If I could rain down with sincerity
And shower you in all I had
I wonder if you'd collect these drops
And let them be part of your daily intake
If you drank my authenticity
And embraced consumption of warmth
Would you taste my need for closeness
And quell the ache within
Because there is only one cure
Found upon your lips
Wrapped up in your words
Which I long to ingest

That I will always do my best
