I Once Loved... With a Black Heart
I once loved with all my heart
Until one day a boy broke it all apart
Now my pieces are spread all over the world
Some broken, some burned, some wrapped and curled
I used to be so angry, I used to fall apart
For even an angry beast can still have a broken heart
I met someone and he was my reflection in the mirror of life
But inside of fighting the darkness, he made her his wife
I fell in love and my broken heart came back together
Pieces flying, soaring through all the world's weather
I once loved with all my heart and I was afraid to do so again
So I let my Frankenstein heart grow black from all kinds of sin
He calls himself savage and he practices that lifestyle
He likes to think he is immune to me, and tell me he's not worthwhile
Someday my black heart hopes that he will come around to stay
But I fear that my black heart will float for eternity waiting for that day
Until one day a boy broke it all apart
