Dumb jelly bean
I rescued
from the gutter
I don't care who
spat you out
when two years later
you're still hanging
in a corner
of my mouth

I just knew
first time I saw you
all that sugar
a going to waste
so I scraped the
muck off
then got sucking
bean, I'd be
lost
without your taste

Now some folks dream
of croak-a-cola
they crave ice-creme
or chocolate chips
but when I suck
my jelly thriller
sweet shivers
rush
across my lips
