Can't come to grips with being average  
I should do the whole world a favor  
---step off this ledge  
 
I could end it all now  
 
No one would miss me anyhow  
 
But the voice inside me says,  
Nobody's Perfect  
 
Pissing on the third rail  
in the subway station  
---my one way ticket to salvation  
 
But the voice inside says to me  
( what they all fail to see )
Nobody is Perfect
 
That's me  
 
You're all jealous  
secretly pining to be in my shoes  
because I've got talent  
Ignore me if you so choose  
You can't deny  
the depth of my brilliance  
as hard as you try  
I won't let you

until your face turns blue

Look at me, look at me  
thrashing about madly  
---center of your universe  
defying all gravity;  
a black hole  
sucking you in  
and never letting go  
until you finally admit  
what everyone should
already know  
 
I'm maybe Nobody

That's me!  
 
Dismiss me all you want  
It's just more incentive to flaunt  
that no one else is perfect  
like me  
 
Excuse me while I blatantly  
shamelessly promote  
my own poetic genius

Never mind what it was  
that I actually wrote---  
not important compared to
a popularity vote  
 
Keep your eyes on the prize  
on me and you will realize  
wat the whole world  
has been missing out on  
what it tried to disguise
  
Camouflaged  
amongst the average  
lost in the ordinary  
where no one is special  
That's where you will find me
