The Ostrich Syndrome
I simply refuse to see
The killing spree surrounding me
Plunged down when that hired gun
Clipped El Nacho on the run
Buzzards circling overhead
Scavengers for the dropping dead
Descending on this crying shame
Don't look at me, I'm not to blame.
The killing spree surrounding me
Plunged down when that hired gun
Clipped El Nacho on the run
Buzzards circling overhead
Scavengers for the dropping dead
Descending on this crying shame
Don't look at me, I'm not to blame.

Crow, how did we both come up with vulture poems today? Must be in the air...
Excellent rhythm to this write. Also, love the title. The level of avoidance and withdraw is immense.

Yes, they're coming in for the killed. This is a Road Runner cartoon with a degree of cowardice. Maybe a little spaghetti western thrown in for good measure. Just burying my head in the sand, so kind of hard to tell.

That would probably be the Man With No Name doing it for a fistful of dollars. I'm joking around with a serious syndrome, bystanders pleading ignorance and not wanting to get involved. Maybe I'll take a grimmer, lengthier look at some point.

I like this. I know I say this a lot but you create a scene in such a concise way.

Thanks Schiitaryn. I'm pretty much the same way. I see ISIS coverage and I want to bury my head in the sand.
