[ Bad Raps ] Dance, Monkey, Dance
Think you know me?
You don't know me
Not the slightest --- think again
Never considered you an enemy
That's a luxury I'd only
extend to a friend
You lost that privelege
with this ventriloquistic
speaking on my behalf
despite your dummy speak
from these lips always
well worth it for a laugh
Wrap it up
slap a price tag on
So damn easy selling a brother out
Opportunist on the soapbox
always looking for a patsy
to drown in shout
Tell me what's it like---
please do tell---
preaching to untold deafened ears
Is it frustrating as hell
being shunned --- leper
walking among your peers?
Maybe you'll learn your lesson
Let's give it a few more years
You'd think it would've
already sunk in by now
like the Titanic
but no rest for the attention
whore gone manic
Claustrophobic
mind in a box
rhetorically bubble wrapped
Can't see beyond self interests
Icebergs dead ahead!
Monumentally mouse trapped;
destined to sink into oblivion
Oblivious, can't let it die naturally---
horse beaten way beyond dead
Now you want to tangle
push your angle
shove me off my feet
into your logic's Bermuda triangle---
every man for himself;
Greek tragedy straight from Crete
And as you sail away
sink in the Drink
plugging every self inflicted leak
in the hull springing eternal
I'm already tanning on the beach
receiving kisses from every native girl
Hoowah!
Dance, Monkey, dance
Put on your bunny slippers
and your Wal-Mart pajama pants
Do it really funky
Dance for me, Monkey
Just do it and
dance
