I wonder as I wander

I wonder as I wander
drift,dream,through
lanes and alleys in
sun and rain
and snow in winter.
Wander aimless as
the honey bee
who with no map
explores the earth.
Golden kitchen jars
sweet breakfast and
childish laughter.
Foxgloves in bloom
and honeysuckle vine
to walk and wonder
lanes and alleys
sun and rain
hear the honey bee,
rasping wings against
Foxglove's flower
deep maternal sheath
and calming leaf.
Leave the silent bell
pendant on the spire
wait harvest honey
filling again the
kitchen jars
for breakfast time
and snow in winter.
