Krakatoa
On a small island an eruption occurred
All around the world it was heard
The skies everywhere turned blood red
And all creatures near, ended up dead
The mighty mountain reduced to nothing
Hot boiling lava was out rushing
Lightning striked down upon the land
Zeus himself couldn’t create this from his hand
During this time, hundreds were dying within minutes
Death stands on this mountain and beckons
Ash rained down from above like snow
Choking plants that were trying to grow
This mighty mountain is Krakatoa
All fear the destructive power of Krakatoa
It stood high above the water on its own island
When it exploded, birds and sharks alike were frightened
The reef was ripped up from its roots
Lava bombs from the mountain, it shoots
Tsunamis came to drown all in its path
All felt the mighty mountain’s wrath
All around the world it was heard
The skies everywhere turned blood red
And all creatures near, ended up dead
The mighty mountain reduced to nothing
Hot boiling lava was out rushing
Lightning striked down upon the land
Zeus himself couldn’t create this from his hand
During this time, hundreds were dying within minutes
Death stands on this mountain and beckons
Ash rained down from above like snow
Choking plants that were trying to grow
This mighty mountain is Krakatoa
All fear the destructive power of Krakatoa
It stood high above the water on its own island
When it exploded, birds and sharks alike were frightened
The reef was ripped up from its roots
Lava bombs from the mountain, it shoots
Tsunamis came to drown all in its path
All felt the mighty mountain’s wrath
