Humpty Dumpty had it easy
Revelations occur
And I am broken.
For once out loud
The truth is spoken.
Strength isn't evident
Neither a cure,
The cause misted,
But a figure sure.
With your own hands,
I'd ask you to fix me,
But pieces are missing,
The cracks you'd see in me.
The lack of confession
It a matter of shame.
To hide my weakness
Counteracted with pain.
Humpty Dumpty was safe
His calls were heard.
He had hands available,
But even that didn't work.
So there's no hope for me,
To be one again.
Not even a little
For I'm drowning in eternal rain.
For the rain's my tears
and the puddle my past.
The sun the far future
but only a dream that is yet to last.
And I am broken.
For once out loud
The truth is spoken.
Strength isn't evident
Neither a cure,
The cause misted,
But a figure sure.
With your own hands,
I'd ask you to fix me,
But pieces are missing,
The cracks you'd see in me.
The lack of confession
It a matter of shame.
To hide my weakness
Counteracted with pain.
Humpty Dumpty was safe
His calls were heard.
He had hands available,
But even that didn't work.
So there's no hope for me,
To be one again.
Not even a little
For I'm drowning in eternal rain.
For the rain's my tears
and the puddle my past.
The sun the far future
but only a dream that is yet to last.
