Synchronicity & Railroad Depression
She lives by the train tracks
that run parallel to the river,
rolling toward her,
she retraces a hundred miles,
wondering about hobos in the dark
at four in the morning; she’s empty headed.

It's preferable to have the trains go by really often, so often that you eventually cease to notice. Walking the rails was a major hobby of mine growing up, & was always a great cure for depression, but living next to the tracks just might put the kibosh on that romance. I like these minimalist tales. It takes wit & skill to make them compelling, & there are few who can pull it off. Nicely done.

I bet you have some awesome memories and stories. I love the trains as they come through. Thank you.

really love this poem but strangely I am not sure why :-)
love ambiguous poems that leave lots of room for interpretation and imagination.

Trains are cool, but yet they're smoking hot. :) Thank you. I really appreciate the comment. :)

Sometimes it makes sense to be afraid and sometimes it doesn't. I appreciate you. I love your comments. :)
