Damn Good Honey!

And I was a crawling little ant
Not a big bull ant
But just a little worker ant

The Master had left the honey pot open
So we lined up and went down to investigate
This was done for a number of ant reasons

First and foremost being the addiction
That ant thing we’re not supposed to mention
Second and third our Queen and the babies

Not too many know this secret
But we’re actually like bees, except
Some of us fly and some of us don’t

Ok, most of us don’t
Whereas, most of them do
I got no issue with that

It’s how the Master made us
And that’s just fine by me
Besides, I don’t want no stripy underwear

Anyway, I digress from my story
So we get to the honey pot
And we have the finest time

Such a sweet day drunk like you would not know
Damn that’s good honey!
I was out of my sap loving tree

My anti-establishment friends were no better
Man we were absolutely legless
And that was surely saying something

Those bees do know how to make good honey
So we’re laying there on our backs
And some dumb ant says, I wonder …

Why in hell would Master leave the lid off?
Now, he copped plenty of flak for this stupid question
The hip black ants jibing, aint no reason for nothin

This made perfect sense to all of us, at the time
We was too blind to know up from down
Let alone philosophizing on the Master’s actions

I proceeded to pass out, as is my way
Only to be startled by blinding light and shadow
And the Master’s finger squashing my brains
