My Lover
He's dried my errant tears
Ones I used to cry every night
My eyes have no more watery blurs
And my lover is a comforting sight
He lights up my dark caverns
Where I used to linger all alone,
And he opens up his strong arms
As if he were welcoming me home
Like a crazy renegade I am
Running from love that I cross
But he captures and holds me close
Silently reassures that not all is lost
His masculine voice caresses
His touch soothes and inspires
He seals my fate with only a kiss
And awakens most thoughtful desires
Ones I used to cry every night
My eyes have no more watery blurs
And my lover is a comforting sight
He lights up my dark caverns
Where I used to linger all alone,
And he opens up his strong arms
As if he were welcoming me home
Like a crazy renegade I am
Running from love that I cross
But he captures and holds me close
Silently reassures that not all is lost
His masculine voice caresses
His touch soothes and inspires
He seals my fate with only a kiss
And awakens most thoughtful desires
