I was asked to write a two sentence story/s for a comp with the intent of shocking the reader.
Scream Dream
Jack dreamt that the wife he’d murdered a year ago tonight was seeking revenge. He awoke screaming to find her standing over him, his genitals in one hand a cut throat razor in the other.
Sleep Well
Kissing him good night she thrust her teasing tongue deep into his throat, her hand stroking his groin.
He stiffened involuntarily as his young body betrayed him ‘be a good boy for Grandma' she whispered.

'Sleep Well' is exquisitely over the line – never saw that coming and therefore experienced the shock value – this one should win.
