Bastard Seeking Refuge
Silver rain streaks the widow
Lamplight catches the droplets
Turing them to blue tears
Wearing traces down my cheeks
I am turned away inside
My time spent wandering
The desolate places underneath the soul
Places only women know
The rain dances now on the weeds
And vacant lots, slaking the enemies thirst
A common theme that binds me
To what I no longer believe
If I am to be this nameless entity
Give me something rare to ring back
If I am lost from there forever
Let me lie beneath the leaves and drown
There is no coming back
From where you cannot go
Lamplight catches the droplets
Turing them to blue tears
Wearing traces down my cheeks
I am turned away inside
My time spent wandering
The desolate places underneath the soul
Places only women know
The rain dances now on the weeds
And vacant lots, slaking the enemies thirst
A common theme that binds me
To what I no longer believe
If I am to be this nameless entity
Give me something rare to ring back
If I am lost from there forever
Let me lie beneath the leaves and drown
There is no coming back
From where you cannot go
