Distracted
Growing more detached day by day
The artistry in me slowly fading away
Becoming distracted by the world outside
I have no where to run, nowhere to hide
Within the pages of my distraught soul
I see a uselessness begin to unfold
Originality escaping my feeble, unworthy grasp
But I see it walking side by side others, hands clasped
Sell me out in a flurry of frustration
Snowballing from loose concentration
I can not be satisfied with my state of mind
I long to shatter these chains and shine
The artistry in me slowly fading away
Becoming distracted by the world outside
I have no where to run, nowhere to hide
Within the pages of my distraught soul
I see a uselessness begin to unfold
Originality escaping my feeble, unworthy grasp
But I see it walking side by side others, hands clasped
Sell me out in a flurry of frustration
Snowballing from loose concentration
I can not be satisfied with my state of mind
I long to shatter these chains and shine
