Dreams of You
Out of the shower.
Toweled off.
Dry.
Cross the room.
Turn back the bed,
First the comforter,
Then the blanket,
Finally the sheet.
Clean sheets today.
Perfect scent.
Sit down.
Lie back.
Swing legs in.
Pull the sheet up.
Then the blanket.
Finally the comforter.
Snuggle down.
Wiggle in.
Nest.
Close my eyes.
Drift away.
Softly pray.
A silent prayer.
In the magic of the night.
A prayer that lovers pray.
As I fall asleep.
That all my dreams,
Be dreams of you.
