With The Dead
As I walk this lonely path
I turn to see that
The road traveled is paved
With the bodies left behind
Smoldering ruins long since
Dead but not forgotten
I remember them all
Every smile and every scowl
Every sweet nothing
And every cursing
The pride filled eyes
And looks of pity and shame
Every punch to the face
And promising kiss
All the embraces
And pushes away
Every truth and lie
Conbined with self loathing
Yes, I remember it all
And buried you with the dead
