The English Language

I have found the English language
to be very strange indeed at times
you can change a word or two
and rearrange the meaning
of almost any written contract
from deeds to marriage certificates
a binding contract or a rip off
your name another persons name
in the case of law
2 or 3 or one word can mean
almost anything from life or death
to guilty or I was innocent
and got fucked and sent to prison
you can change a love poem
into a hate poem with only
one single word
the English language
is the only lingo I speak
except a little Mexican
it never ceases to amaze me
how so many different
feelings and images and dreams
truth and lies and nonsense
can be formed and created with
the English language
