I'm Only Me

I am who I am.
I'm not a scared lamb nor am I a weak little girl.
I don't know what's my purpose for being here in this world, but I know I'm just here.
I don't shed a tear when my hair is messy,
I don't shout about whenever I don't get my way,
I won't beg someone to stay.
I am like everbody else, I bleed and cry
I am only me.
I know when I'm not wanted,
I know when I am not needed so I won't force my way into the heart of someone I love.
I'm not a saint from above, but I'm not the devil in disguise Im simply just unknown.
My true colors will only be shown when I want them to be.
I see the true good in people even when I feel at times they don't deserve it.
I am only me.
I am not pretty like all them other girls in the magazines, but I guess I can pass for average.
I'm not a princess,
I don't want any diamond ring or fancy trips to Paris.
However, I don't expect less than.
I am only me.
I am fine on my own and I can be just fine alone.
Money is nothing to me in the game of love.
I forgiven and forgetten for those who even aren't worth it.
I've learned my lessons along the way from doing wrong then trying to do right.
