time to move on
I woke up
Nothing different
Same as any other day
I looked in the mirror
Didn't recognize the girl staring back at me
Mascara and tear streaked cheeks
Hair disheveled from the night before
I knew it the moment I walked in the door
The name calling
The pulling at my clothes
Where are you goin all dressed up
Good for nothing trifling ho
With each word and each blow you cut me down
I just stood there and took it
Just another night
Were at each others throats again.
I went to bed to tired from the crying
The same routine for years
When I woke up I looked at the woman staring back at me
Time to move on
Your beauty has been bottled up for to long
Grabbed my bags
Time to move on girl
Never look back
Nothing different
Same as any other day
I looked in the mirror
Didn't recognize the girl staring back at me
Mascara and tear streaked cheeks
Hair disheveled from the night before
I knew it the moment I walked in the door
The name calling
The pulling at my clothes
Where are you goin all dressed up
Good for nothing trifling ho
With each word and each blow you cut me down
I just stood there and took it
Just another night
Were at each others throats again.
I went to bed to tired from the crying
The same routine for years
When I woke up I looked at the woman staring back at me
Time to move on
Your beauty has been bottled up for to long
Grabbed my bags
Time to move on girl
Never look back
