Something in the DNA

Something in the DNA
Inherited on one cursed day
Pick up that bipolar bop
Mood swings that will never stop

Some heartbreak of brittle bones
Arthritic joints are filled with stones
Vertebrae are misaligned
Face structure terribly designed

Preteen hair is turning white
Mouth distorted by an overbite
A snout to make a mother cringe
Scales to drive her to a binge

Ears that pick up only lies
Demons spotted by these eyes
Drop down on my knees and pray
That it's just something in the DNA.
