Yes! I'm Ok

Hiding behind a smile,
Concealing the pain buried deep in his chest.
Playing the fool, not wanting reveal the stress or the mess, that his life is.

Hiding in plain sight with joyful eyes,
That say "Hey, I'm ok!"  and confidence that reads " everything is fine."
All the while wondering, how did it end up this way.

Hiding behind words filled with thrill,
Telling people who care, that things are great and couldn't be better for you.
Never telling how things are actually a disaster and getting hard to go through.

Hiding the pain with a smile, joyful eyes and kind words.
To never revealing your true self, to this cruel and unkind world.
