The Showgirl { Chapter 4}

Nikki, looked at him as her expression was blank as she asked " you want to go out with me?..." Nick smiled as he said " yeah, so would you like to?"
Nikki then said " sorry, but no...I don't go out with people that I work with and I surely won't date someone that's gonna be my boss...." Nikki then puts her bag in the passenger seat as Nick's smile went to a frown, but stood still with his hands in his pockets as he said " I understand..."
Nikki looked at him thinking she probably hurt his feelings so she said reinsuringly
" well it's nothing personal, I just don't believe in dating someone from the work place that's all...." She said with a smile Nick nodded as he said " I understand...."
There was an awkward silence then Nick said " well goodnight and drive carefully...." Nikki nodded as she got into the car as she drove home.
As she arrived home she walked into her bedroom as she got undressed and puts on her black tank top with some black sweat pants as she set her alarm and got into bed as she went to sleep.
Couple of hours later her alarm goes off as she gets up feeling barely awake as she takes a shower and dried her hair and brushed her teeth as she puts on her waitressing uniform and her sequined flats as she tied her hair up in a pulled back ponytail.
Then she grabs her stuff and her keys as she walked out the door and drove off to work.
As she made it to the diner she walked in as she said hi to Rachel and hi to Tony and as she was about to put her stuff away her boss came up to her as he said to her " Nikki, why the hell didn't you stay for the night shift last night?!" Nikki glared at him as she said " Mr. Revin, I told you when I first applied for this job that I work somewhere else--" then Mr.Revin cuts her off as he said " oh yes, you work at the club as a stripper or something--" then Nikki cuts him off as she says " I'm no stripper I'm a dancer!..." Mr.Revin then said " same thing, You work the night shift tomorrow night or you're fired...." He walked away as Nikki pretended to scratch her nose with her middle finger as she was secretly flipping him off.
Then she sat on a chair next to Rachel as she exhaled sharply and said to Rachel " I don't know how much more shit I can take from him, he's such an ass!..." Rachel sighed and said " I know he is, but you gotta keep your head up..."
Nikki rolled her eyes and said " yeah I know, it's just he never cuts me any slack..."
Rachel hugged Nikki as she said " I know he doesn't, but you can't let that stop you from earning your money..." Nikki nodded as she said " yeah I know you're right..." Nikki saw a customer as she went to take their order.
It was now lunch time as Nikki finished her lunch break then Rachel comes up to her as Nikki was sitting down as she said to her " hey Nikki, can you take that person over there for me, I'mma go to lunch" Nikki rolled her eyes and said " fine..." Rachel laughed as she said " I know it's a pain, I'll try to make it up to you..." then Rachel went to lunch as Nikki walked over to the guy and without looking she didn't notice it was Nick.
Nikki didn't look up as she was looking at her writing pad as she said " so what can I get you?..."
Nick, smiled and said " yeah can I get a date with you?"
Nikki's eyes widened as she looked up and noticed it was him as she asked " Nick?....how did you know that I worked here?..."
Nick then said " I was talking to Tatiana and she said you worked here during the day...." Nikki shook her head and said " I'm gonna kill her..." She said as she smacked her lips.
Nick, laughed as he said " well she just said what diner, I just got curious and wanted to come over..."
Nikki rolled her eyes then said " well is that all or did you actually come here to eat?" Nick nodded yes and said " I'm here to eat!"
Nikki laughed and shook her head as she took his order then walked away.
It was now 8 PM as she was done working as she said bye to Rachel and as she made her way into the parking lot and got in her car as she set her stuff down in the passenger seat she sticks the key in the ignition, but it wouldn't start so she tried turning the key again, but it still didn't start so she tried it again and still nothing happened so Nikki started to get frustrated as she said " oh god, please!...damn it! shit!" then stops as she hits the steering wheel and rubs her eyes roughly feeling upset then she looks into her bag for her cell phone then as she looked at it, it was dead then she yelled " shit!" so she got out the car and then saw Nick, Nikki laughed as she asked " are you stalking me?..."
Nick laughed as he said "no I actually went across the street to get some stuff and I see that you're still here..." Nikki rolled her eyes as she said "yeah well this piece of junk finally broke down on me so it won't start..." she said as she kicked the tire on her car.
Nick then said " well let me give you a ride to work..."
Nikki rubbed the back of her neck as she said " I don't know Nick, I don't want to be a burden on you or anything--"
then Nick cuts her off as he says " no, I insist!" Nikki smiled as she said " ok, but don't try anything..."
Nick laughed as he said " I won't..."
They got into Nick's car as they drove to the club as they walked in together all eyes were on them some of the female dancers were whispering to each other while looking at them. Nikki, felt a little intimidated, but didn't let it get to her.
Nikki sighed and says to Nick " well thank you so much for driving me to work..." Nick smiled as he said " your welcome, Nikki"
Nikki smiled as she walked to the dressing room, Tatiana noticed her smiling as she said " why are you smiling so big?"
Nikki rolled her eyes as she laid her stuff down on her table as she said " I don't know what you're talking about.." Tatiana laughed as she said " I know that look! you met a guy didn't you?...." Nikki shook her head as she said " No, I didn't meet a guy I'm just happy..."
Tatiana then laughed as she said "girl, you got it bad I can tell...you even came seven minutes late!--" Nikki laughed as she cuts her off and says " I'm late because my car broke down and Nick was at my job so he offered me a ride to work"
Tatiana laughed as she asked " is that all he offered you?" Nikki smacked her arm and laughed and said " that's just nasty Tatiana!  No, he just drove me here thats all..." Tatiana smacked her lips as she said " mhm yeah right..."
Nikki didn't say anything else as she got dressed in her outfit and danced.
It was now close to closing time as Nikki was ready to go home as she was walking out of the dressing room Nick came up to her and asked " you want me to drive you home?..."
Nikki smiled and said " sure".
Nick, drove Nikki home as they arrived to her home Nikki smiled as she said " I don't know how else I could thank you for doing this for me"
Nick smiled as he said " well there is one way...go out with me..." Nikki rolled her eyes as she sighed and said " look I told you I can't date you because you're the boss..." Nick tapped his fingers on the steering wheel then looked back at Nikki as he said " ok...you're fired and I'll pick you up at 8..." He winked at her as she laughed and got out the car and walked inside.
