haiku's alright in it's way,
until it gets in the way of
poetry - mind you, the same
goes for all literary structures,
they're either brilliantly built or
else they're just thrown together...

I too admire the Haiku. Although I have many short pieces, rarely does my natural dialect match the syllable counter. I truly want to write as simple and natural as I speak; it's what I strive for. I think it makes for a much better end result. I think about it a lot and write on it a little every day.

Thank you Miss Chi, I appreciate it a lot. The Haiku and Senryu are ancient and powerful in their whispers; I love this form of art, but that's with all poetry that comes from such a place nondescript it cannot be seen. And when one is spoken through meditation; the voice of the poet... I don't know what to say, It just makes me grateful and happy. I feel guilty that I haven't come and checked you out lately; I've been so busy(I'm still looking for that piece on philosophy, but recent writing and homework's got me swamped.) Again, thank you so much. :)

Dear Pish, no need to feel guilty. I myself drag behind due to long working days and a lack of energy to give the beautiful poems on DU their deserved attention during the remaining evening hours. Well, I feel guilty, too, but as I'm convinced that we're not here to feel guilty about unscripted comments but to have fun, express our feelings and to hand over our hearts' contents, forget about the guilt thing, please. I love to read your wonderful poems and they are in my heart. And if it's the other way round, too, it'll suffice to make me happy. x
