Me the partisan,
would foreclose on all you believe
if you weren't in close proximity

This is elegant and seductive, Rose. You convey a sense of power with the capacity to foreclose, and you do set a trap. That's the web in the final line. But to be caught there would be ecstasy, not pain. Great job!
