Poseidon had the best of me
as Zeus struck without feeling
and Achlys stalked me everywhere
with her emerald skin and dirty pale

eyes. Eros and Psyche whispered
their little lessons whilst exchanging
saliva and bodily fluids, only the Godliest
of such. The unholiest of good men

hid beneath the sheets
from the wrath of my researched Gods
and he created, with his hands, tea
and bacon sandwiches

that I, so reluctantly, ate. Betting my heart
with Tabliope's cards and there in the presence
of sweltering heat and lazy, Sunday feet
I turned on the shower and Poseidon swept me away.
