Codie
Quiet words in her ear.
Slowly pulling away the fear.
Warm arms to embrace,
No longer a disgrace.
His comforting smile,
made her think she could go on for miles.
His love like her only drug,
lifting her into the clouds.
Now he's gone,
She thinks it was her that did something wrong.
Down in the ground he went.
The rope necklace she'd resent,
tied around his neck.
She hoped she was next.
He held her when she cried,
but she knew he died.
No longer his real arms,
but her minds scars.
Slowly pulling away the fear.
Warm arms to embrace,
No longer a disgrace.
His comforting smile,
made her think she could go on for miles.
His love like her only drug,
lifting her into the clouds.
Now he's gone,
She thinks it was her that did something wrong.
Down in the ground he went.
The rope necklace she'd resent,
tied around his neck.
She hoped she was next.
He held her when she cried,
but she knew he died.
No longer his real arms,
but her minds scars.
