Blues was transformed
into sweet Rock n Roll
thus planting the seeds
for many sungenres to flourish
eventually being bastardized
by the Pop Genre
and Punk/Rap influences

Country flourished, for a time
but soon fell victim
to the dreaded Pop
receiving a near-fatal blow
from which it will never truly recover

Of these, the peak was reached
long, long ago
whereas the Metal
continues to stay true to it's roots
thundering across the airwaves
it's presence is felt worldwide

The brilliant minds
who influenced it's fiery birth
will never be forgotten

It's fans are legion
and it cannot be stopped
