No friends
There are no friends
Just illusions that betray.
Another drop in the ocean,
Another morn, another day.
Tired of your fables and your lies,
Your eyes on me stay
as you sharpen your blade
and shoot daggers through your gaze.
I remember still the pain,
The bruises, the scarlet stains
Now scars just remain
As a reminder of my shame.
Once I too was full of light,
Full of grace.
As I fought against your demons,
And drove away your bane.
Mercy, my weakness
I was the last one to stay,
And so I learned the hard way
It's better to be feared,
Than loved for a day
Just illusions that betray.
Another drop in the ocean,
Another morn, another day.
Tired of your fables and your lies,
Your eyes on me stay
as you sharpen your blade
and shoot daggers through your gaze.
I remember still the pain,
The bruises, the scarlet stains
Now scars just remain
As a reminder of my shame.
Once I too was full of light,
Full of grace.
As I fought against your demons,
And drove away your bane.
Mercy, my weakness
I was the last one to stay,
And so I learned the hard way
It's better to be feared,
Than loved for a day
