Just a Breath Away

Incessantly flirting
and skirting
and shimmering
swirling,
and just
on the apex
of nearly a kiss,

these are the lips
of eternal
unwinding,
softly, just barely
so near the abyss,

the measure
and treasure
that's constantly
hurting,
the aching
and breaking
and needing to be

closer and closer
moist and inviting
biting then hiding
so edgingly
free.

Words
as we're coasting
and waving
and boasting

the closer and closer
to cresting
on cue

the closer
and closer
I'm feeling to you.

Touching
unwinding
delicate
finding
every wet crevice
and always
brand new,

this is the feeling
of constantly reeling
and sealing
and wheeling
and being
so deep
into you.
