Moral Porpoise
Flipper dip her in the deep
Don't want to hear another peep
She has now become a bore
So drag her swiftly from the shore
But I can hear sweet Flipper squeal
Apparently catching her appeal
Carries the nag back with the tide
Whereupon she thanks him for the ride.
Don't want to hear another peep
She has now become a bore
So drag her swiftly from the shore
But I can hear sweet Flipper squeal
Apparently catching her appeal
Carries the nag back with the tide
Whereupon she thanks him for the ride.

Thank you, DevilsChild. I got a little giddy here. This is inspired by "Flipper", an old TV show I enjoyed as a kid. Flipper might actually have been a dolphin. But dolphins and porpoises are fine mammals, superior to the human species in some respects. Their level of intelligence, their use of sonar, is awe inspiring.

I love the beach and a roll in the waves. I just try to keep the sand from where it doesn't belong. Thank you, Schiitaryn!

Thanks, Katja. I try to lighten up about the dark. Doesn't always work but it's worth a shot.

Thanks, Flower. I have cherished memories of vacations up in Santa Cruz, which is about 50 miles from San Francisco. My sister had a place about half a block from the beach, and her boyfriend rode the sands on his horse. And the women were free spirited and gorgeous. I wish I'd been just a little older...

Lady Muse,
I'm glad you enjoyed the ride! Not that you're a nag. You're always welcome!

Porpoises and dolphins are heroic. They can certainly take on sharks, and have actually done so on behalf of humans. Thanks, John

Thanks, Katana. I try to get a rhythm and rhyme going. It's fun, but sometimes I try to force it, which doesn't work.

Thanks, Scot. I find it hard to resist puns and wordplay. This one's kind of a cartoon. I've never quite grown up, I guess.

I'm glad you enjoyed, Zazzles. "Flipper" was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Right up there with "Mr. Ed."
