Expressing yourself
There are so many different things to do
To express yourself
Some of them are good
Some of them aren’t
Some people express themselves with art
They draw pictures
Write stories
Beautiful poetry
Things that will take your breath away
And that’s okay
Some people express themselves with metal and ink
They get piercings
Tattoos
Beautiful pieces of art
But the difference is
That’s viewed as dirty and gross
Unprofessional and obscene
Some people express themselves with pain
They cut
Burn
Bruise
Make pictures on their skin
Secret paintings no one can ever know
And that’s something we don’t talk about
The taboo
We all have ways to express ourselves
Some better than others
And if society wants us to only do art
And not metal and ink
Then we slip away
And reduce ourselves
To pain

I love the the way you brought lite to dark issues. Also , I feel the pain of self abuse, I wish I could stop awesome some, people just don't understand it's a mental disorder♥¡ awesome write.
