How can I love you
How can I love you?
So big and so strong
How can I love you?
It’s not been that long
How can I love you?
No reason or rhyme
Yet I still love you can that be a crime?
I close my eyes tightly and all that I see
Are those in my life so precious to me
I close them again and then all I find
Are visions of you invading my mind
All of them need me; this is so true
And yet with that said, I still think of you
Whose needs do I answer theirs or just mine
Knowing deep down there’s so little time
To play in this life
And maybe just find…
A lifetime of giving to everyone else
Is it so wrong to consider myself?
Hold me and touch me it’s all that I need
Wrap me around you and help me concede
All that I’m missing is you in my life
Knowing full well you have family and wife
Beginning to question what did I miss?
Then start to wonder is this all there is?
What can these feelings possibly mean?
Knowing quite well this is only a dream
How can I love you, you’re so far away
How can I love you on each given day?
Only time tells me where this may end
Until that time comes I’ll just be your friend
