TEAR STAINED BLUE
I would have written.
The years passing by between each
ageing love line.
With regards..
all my love
my heart belongs
to you,
the ink would flow
Coloured tear stained blue.
Dreams getting tied up on heart strings
Singing their way over hill and valley,
across county lines, village lanes,
till sorted out, Pigeon holed away.
Awaiting delivery by warm gloved hands.
No knock at the door
letterbox flapping,
another bill to pay
non inspired letters to sign
no heart fluttering.
I would have written
Our dreams,
about me and you
like the tears,
drying in time,
over the years
unsent letters marked
With all my love xx
tear stained blue.
