Mother Nature's Cauldron

no wind
beautiful shades of green
gently cascading over rock jetties
glistening in ice and
fresh snow falling as if in slow motion

the cold barely penetrates
she walks along the shore line
her long hair
and lashes
shimmering with a veil of
snowy jewels
even the waves slipping in over her feet
heed no warning
of her chilly disposition

she warms her hands simply by
rubbing them together momentarily
she stays
hypnotized by the calm
green waters
whispering lullabies
swirling
fluttering
undulating
over rocks
and sand
seducing
her senses
into false reality
of the oceans deceptively
cold
heart
rhythms
beckoning her to
come closer...
