Refrain of the Rains

I stood in the cave of an outcast castle and
observed in awe the rise of a hex to the clouds,
The rainbow wasn't wrong when it drew it's arc
from the eastern hills to the western valleys
I was warned by tales of the old to save the
rains for the drought days and repel lightening
in a dark cloudy day,
But how could nature do same?
How could Ignorant men know wise?
It's my heart that has remained grievious.
Autumn has found a home amongst the leaves,
Mariana's trench is almost levelled with dry
land,
Hay has overgrown the green lawns,
No more roses on caskets,
They are now gone beyond the death,
The skies have so gone dry with cracks like
tortoise backs.
The earth idles away in infertility,
The deserts soon overtakes it and makes
everywhere desolate,
In my swirling thoughts,
I rolled up my sleeves and pulled over my hood,
I'm done being a monk in the monastery
All my pleas are pro'bly stinky insence to my
deity,
How could this spell be advancing a decade?
The Refrain of the rains
No one to quench the fires of pain,
Everything keeps moving below the drain,
I mistook thunder with the chimes of a train
Oh skies!!!
when will thou see your tears again?
Will I ever hear the roaring thunders?
Will I ever see the beauty of your lightening?
Will you ever give birth to rain clouds again?
Henceforth, I'll be still like a stillborn till I'm
gone or resuscitated by rain drops.
