I remember the heartbeat
Didnt care about other sounds
All i heard was my babies heartbeat in the background
Nothing could comfort me
They said you were fine
That moment haunts me
Its always on my mind
I laid there in that hospital bed
Rest is all the doctor said
I went home that Night
thinking everything would be alright
I remember waking up to the awful sight
Blood surrounding me
The pain
I Couldnt stand
I was suppose to protect you
I let you slip through
What else is a mother supposed to do
It was no longer about me
It was about you
I wish you only knew how much your mommy loved you
