Your face is with me wherever I go,
I miss you desperately.
I am empty without you, I fade into nothingness.
My love, come back to me.
My heart, it hungers for your lips,
my soul longs for your return.
Come back to me, come back, my love.
Only for you I burn.
Let my hands be your hands, mine eyes be yours.
For me, you are the best.
And only when you are come to me
is the turmoil in my heart at rest.
For my sadness flickers the whole night through.
My thoughts belong to thee.

This is another that would sound right with musical accompaniment, perhaps harpsichord. Lacking that, it's lovely on it's own. I suspect the gent returned, bearing roses and devotion. Great job, sweet Toni.

Has a biblical tone, styling reminiscent of the Psalms and Song of Songs. Touching in the depth of longing shown. The accompanying pic suggests the poem is about a parting from a newlywed spouse (experience for example of many servicepeople)
